Expanding the Range of Classes at Our Cookery School

Learn to make Bao Buns in our cookery school

When we moved into our bakery on the Hellesdon Hall Industrial Estate, we finally had the space we needed for our production kitchen – producing goodies for our city centre shop and our mail order customers – and a dedicated teaching space with individual workstations and ovens to serve as our cookery school. We’ve been sharing the secrets of our perfect macarons at monthly classes for up to 8 people and sessions on Brownies, Chocolate Puddings and Sausage Rolls have also quickly sold out. This year, we’re introducing some new classes amongst the established favourites.

New Cookery Classes

These new classes have just been added to our 2018 calendar:

  • Bread Baking for Beginners. No more supermarket bread! We’ll show you how to make an everyday crusty white loaf, a classic Italian Focaccia and a cheese, onion and ale loaf.
  • Cinnamon Buns, Muffins and Pies. Learn how to make the perfect glazed cinnamon bun, fluffy blueberry muffins and a scrumptious apple pie.
  • Street Food Baking. The secrets behind delicious steamed Bao buns, quick and easy flatbreads and stretchy pizza dough.
  • Classic French Cakes. Combine delicate Pâte sucrée pastry with a zingy lemon filling for the perfect lemon tart. We’ll also teach you how to bake and construct a classic vanilla Mille Feuille.

View a complete list of available classes ordered by date on our cookery school page. If the class you want is sold out, be sure to let us know that you’re interested so that we can contact you the next time we arrange a class on that topic. You can call the bakery on 01603 419506 or email contact@macaronsandmore.com.
