Fun Classes for Amateur Bakers Coming up in October

Selection of baking utensils

If you are looking to improve your baking skills before the build-up to the festive season, you should sign up to one of our October classes. But hurry – they sell out quickly!

There are two fun classes for amateur bakers in October that still have places left on them: Marshmallows, Jellies, Brittles and Chocolate on 21st October and An Introduction to Macaron Making on 28th October.

Marshmallows, Jellies, Brittles and Chocolate

Our whistle-stop tour of confectioners’ delights. This class will teach you the secrets behind a range of different sweets: fluffy mallows, zesty fruit jellies, crunchy brittle and perfectly-tempered chocolate. With these techniques under your belt – you will be able to start experimenting with your own flavours for these different textures. The class takes place in our bakery and runs from 9am to 2pm. As with all of our classes, the price includes lunch and you get to take home everything that you bake.

An Introduction to Macaron Making

Our most popular class. The original October and November classes sold out so quickly that we squeezed in this extra class on 28th October – there are still three places left on this hands-on session that will teach you how to make the perfect macaron. Class runs from 9am to 2pm, includes lunch, and you get to take home all the macarons you make!

Autumn Classes

Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get a place on our two remaining October classes. We’ve got a schedule of classes you can sign up to that runs well into the new year. Here’s a taste of what is coming up in time for Christmas:

  • 18th November: Pork and Pastry
  • 25th November: Macaron Gingerbread House
  • 9th December: An Introduction to Macaron Making (Festive Special)
  • 16th December: An Introduction to Macaron Making (Festive Special)

If you would like more information about any of our classes, please call our bakery on 01603 419506 where a member of team macaron will be happy to answer any of your questions.
