Learn New Skills with ‘Perfecting Patisserie’

The perfecting patisserie book.

Macarons & More founder, Tim Kinnaird, was a finalist on Masterchef in 2010. Throughout the series, he consistently won praise for his attention to detail and skills at patisserie. Skills he shared with the general public a couple of years later when he published a book aimed at ambitious home cooks. Perfecting Patisserie is available from our online shop.

Firm Foundation

The first step in moving beyond basic home baking is organisation. For instance, certain items of new equipment and a degree of planning will be involved in taking these next steps into the world of patisserie. Tim’s book will guide you through all this to provide a firm foundation on which you can start experimenting.

Building Blocks

In the book, Tim shares his belief that patisserie is all about building blocks of texture, flavour and decoration. Complexity is created in the assembly of these blocks, but the components themselves need not necessarily be complex. Perfecting Patisserie contains the secrets to the key techniques that comprise various building blocks.

Intuitive Cookery Skills

Of course, the book contains some fantastic recipes that you will be able to wow your friends and family with. But, in addition to this, Perfecting Patisserie is intended to provide you with the intuitive cookery skills that will enable you to start your own exciting journey.
